Connie E. Morrow

Dr. Morrow, Research Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Miami, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in Pediatric and Child Clinical Psychology. Dr. Morrow is the Associate Director of the Perinatal CARE Program in the Department of Pediatrics. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Miami, and Clinical Psychology Internship at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Dr. Morrow has more than a decade of experience implementing research and service programs for at risk infants and young children. She is Principal Investigator of several large-scale community programs focused on enhancing early childhood development for infants and young children at risk due to caregiver mental health or substance abuse issues. These programs provide comprehensive, family-centered parenting and behavioral health services to families with young children and include the Starting Early Starting Smart Program funded by the Miami-Dade Healthy Start Coalition and The Families First Network, funded by the Children's Trust. Dr. Morrow has also published extensively in the area of prenatal cocaine exposure and child development, and has been the Psychology Research Director on the NIDA-funded Miami Prenatal Cocaine Study since 1992.
