Cancer Treatment

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center serves as the cancer treatment and research hub of UHealth – University of Miami Health System.

At Sylvester, we understand how stressful a cancer diagnosis can be. That’s why we created the Ask for Ana patient access program. Ana Espinosa and her team of cancer care coordinators provide new patients with guidance, support, and advocacy. From arranging patients’ first appointments to helping navigate through the complexities of a university-based health system, the Ask for Ana team makes it easier to take advantage of Sylvester’s groundbreaking cancer research and care.

To find a doctor or make an appointment at one of Sylvester’s three locations (Miami, Deerfield Beach, and Kendall), visit the Sylvester website at www.sylvester.org or call the Ask for Ana patient access program at 305-243-5302 or toll-free at 877-243-1056.

At Sylvester, we specialize in cancer, only cancer. More than 250 cancer specialists – all faculty of the Miller School of Medicine – provide innovative, multidisciplinary care and conduct groundbreaking cancer research that leads to more advanced treatment options for our patients.

Sylvester has 15 “site-disease groups,” – specialized, multidisciplinary teams of health care professionals who focus on treating specific types of cancer. Sylvester’s site disease groups include a wide array of specialists including medical oncologists, surgeons, and radiation oncologists.
