The clinic will be staffed by nurse practitioners overseen by UHealth physicians and will be located on the Coral Gables Campus in the McKnight Building.
PARKING: Parking at the Healthy ’Canes Employee Clinic is located directly behind the McKnight Building on San Amaro Drive (Gray Lot). Six spots will be designated for both visitors to the clinic and to the McKnight Building. As spots are limited, visitors are encouraged to park at the Ponce Garage and walk over or take the Hurry ’Canes Shuttle to the Brescia stop.

About the Employee Clinics
The Healthy ’Canes Employee Clinics are a UM Well ‘Canes benefit for faculty and staff, which offer convenient access to UHealth medical services for common illnesses. You will now be able to visit the Healthy ‘Canes Employee Clinic on a walk-in basis for the low cost of $10 per visit for matters that may have required an urgent care or scheduled doctor’s visit in the past.
Services include:
- Care for common illnesses, including colds, earaches and allergies
- Treatment for minor injuries like burns, abrasions, wounds and sprains
- Examination of skin conditions such as acne, rashes and infections
- Immunizations
Free Flu Shots
The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated each year.
Note:
The clinic will not serve as a replacement for your primary care physician (PCP) relationship. They will provide services to UM/UMH employees only and not to dependents of employees. They will not provide review or approval of medical leaves of absence, return to work forms or disability forms. They will not write refills for existing prescriptions.
