Adrien A. Eshraghi, MD, MSc, FACS is Professor of Otolaryngology Biomedical Engineering. He is the Director of Hearing Research Laboratory at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He serves as Chief of Otology and Neurotology Clinics for Jackson Memorial Hospital and Co-Director of University of Miami Ear Institute. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Paris VI-Sorbonne in 1990. He did his Residency at the prestigious University of Paris Sorbonne, Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital, his Head and Neck Surgery fellowship at U.C.L.A and his Neurotology fellowship at University of Miami /Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is fully licensed in Florida and board certified by American Board of Otolaryngology in Otolaryngology and sub-specialty of Neurotology.
Dr Eshraghi is the author of more than 100 scientific papers and medical book chapters. His clinical interests are in the management of Ear problems (hearing loss, implantable hearing devices: bone anchored hearing aids/middle ear implant/cochlear implant surgery, ear infections, micro-surgery of acoustic neuroma tumors or their radio-surgery using Cyberknife, Meniere’s disease, tinnitus) and Nasal problems (mainly balloon sinoplasty and eustachian tube dysfunction treatments). His peer-reviewed funded researches has been focused on management of hearing loss, preservation of residual hearing, improvement of cochlear implant devices, minimal invasive surgical techniques and application of Lasers in Otolaryngology. Dr Eshraghi has received national and international recognition for his clinical activities, teaching and research in the field of Otolaryngology and Neurotology. He has been selected by his peers as one of the “Best Doctors in America” every year since 2011 and one of “America’s Top Doctors” every year since 2012. He has been named in Who’s Who in the World and Who‘s Who in America since 2007.
Dr Eshraghi is a fellow of American college of Surgeon, American Academy of Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, Neurotology Society, Triological Society and the notorious Collegium Oto-Laryngologicum A.S. He was recipient of the “Honor Award” by the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head Neck surgery in 2009 for his contributions. He received the “Honorable mention Award” for his Triological thesis in 2012. He is elected to serve as President of the Florida Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He is also an active member of Association for Research in Otolaryngology, and serves as member of Skull Base Surgery Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
Over the last 10 years Dr. Eshraghi has been a guest speaker at numerous national and international otolaryngology meetings where he presented his clinical and research accomplishments in Paris, Athens, Istanbul, London, Frankfurt, Vienna, Prague, New York, Boston, Toronto, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Beijing. He has been also invited as a Visiting Professor at numerous universities in North America, Europe and Asia to train Residents and surgeons in perfecting their various ENT surgical skills. He serves as reviewers for almost all high impact peer-reviewed scientific journals in the field of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
