Biography

Dr. Brian Morrison is a Board Certified Dermatologist with broad areas of interest including international medicine, medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous surgery.

Dr. Morrison was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida.  After college, he moved to New York to pursue a Master’s degree in Nutrition at Columbia University and continued to complete his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine.  He returned home to Miami, where he completed his medical education as a resident at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.

As part-time faculty, Dr. Morrison continues to dedicate himself to the education of our residents at our clinical practice located in UMH South and at the Miami VA Hospital.  At our most recent resident graduation, the graduates recognized Dr. Morrison's commitment to education by awarding him the “Outstanding Dedication to Resident Teaching.”  He is also an author of a number of peer-reviewed publications encompassing basic science research and clinical cases in dermatology.

Dr. Morrison is the founder of The Skin Clinic Haiti, a charitable outreach in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  By establishing partnerships with local physicians and hospitals in Haiti, he has improved access to patient care, educated local residents and practicing physicians and raised funds to cover the cost of medical care for disadvantaged patients.  He also invites University of Miami residents and faculty to accompany him on these trips.
