Dr. Brian Morrison is a Board Certified Dermatologist with broad areas of interest including international medicine, medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and cutaneous surgery.
Dr. Morrison was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Cell Science at the University of Florida. After college, he moved to New York to pursue a Master’s degree in Nutrition at Columbia University and continued to complete his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. He returned home to Miami, where he completed his medical education as a resident at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery.
Dr. Morrison continues to dedicate himself to the education of our residents at our clinical practice located in UMH South and at the Miami VA Hospital. In fact, our graduates have consistently recognized Dr. Morrison for his commitment to their dermatologic education. More recently, he has expanded his educational role by serving as Chief of Dermatology Outpatient Services at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is also an author of a number of peer-reviewed publications encompassing basic science research and clinical cases in dermatology.
Dr. Morrison is the founder of The Skin Clinic Haiti, a charitable outreach in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. By establishing partnerships with local physicians and hospitals in Haiti, he has improved access to patient care, educated local residents and practicing physicians and raised funds to cover the cost of medical care for disadvantaged patients. Over the past year, he has developed an Oculocutaneous Albisim (OCA) clinic in conjuction with the Albha Foundation of Haiti. His work there was acknowledged by the UM publication Invetum in July 2017 (https://physician-news.umiamihealth.org/haiti-albinism-clinic-grows-in-reach-and-effectiveness/). He also invites University of Miami residents and faculty to accompany him on these trips.
